Today, Saturday, October 20th, hundreds of dogs and their owners meet at the Tompkins Square Park to celebrate the 22nd Halloween Dog Parade. Spectators of all ages watch as hundreds of families with their dogs show off their creative costumes in the biggest off-leash park of Manhattan.
This event, that has been gathering more and more followers each year, is a great opportunity for dog lovers to share a day of fun and to keep the spirit of halloween alive in the children's hearts as well as the adults'.
The contest will star many different costumes... dogs as pirates, vehicles, celebrities, and even dishes, all competing for the title of "Best in Parade". Here are some of our favorites from the previous years:
