Seven Psychopaths is the second movie of the director, writer, and producer Martin McDonagh as well as the acting debut of Bonny the Shih Tzu and it's been in theaters since yesterday, October 12, 2012.
The story begins when Marty (Colin Farrell) a screenwriter is in serious trouble after his unemployed friend Billy (Sam Rockwell), kidnaps a dog. This event triggers a quest full of action in which seven characters find themselves in many hilarious situations and on the verge of a nervous breakdown. Charlie, an implacable gangster played by Woody Harrelson, won't rest until his beloved friend Bonny is rescued. Although this series of events put Marty in danger, they provide him with a great source of inspiration for his work. Tom Waits, Abby Cornish, Olga Kurylenko, and Christopher Walken are also part of this eccentric group and story that revolves around the character played by this extremely cute canine movie star.
The film showcases the unconditional friendship that dogs provide us with, regardless of who we are, as well as these wonderful creatures' ability to dig deep into our soul in order to find the best part of any human being.
Bonny is a Shih Tzu adopted by the Performing Animal Troupe, a company that provides animal movie stars. "Salem", the talking cat of the TV show "Sabrina the Teenage Witch", is one of their famous pets that appeared in films and television shows.
The talented Bonny lives with her trainer Claire Dore and continues on her way to stardom. In the picture above, she looks very comfortable on the red carpet at the Toronto International Film Festival, where she belongs.
Seven Psychopaths will surely bring a smile to the face of every member of the public, whether it's a young or a senior, a saint or a gangster.
Like Bonny, there are a lot of talented dogs still waiting for adoption.
